Beyond The Blue Released in 2002. Described by Steve as a “Black & Blue rock album”, this record carries a character of it’s own, moving through layers of laid back blues rock through to more upbeat contemporary and folky storytellers.

Steve first hit the spotlight with his mid-‘80s band, All Night Radio. The first Big Sky album, ‘Waiting For The Dawn’, introduced Steve’s new, big rock sound and spawned three Top 10 hits.

As a farmer as well as a musician, Steve has always been very connected to the earth.
In 1996, Big Sky won the FNB Music Award for “Best SA Rock Act” for the album Horizon. This album set a new standard for SA rock albums and sold over 10,000 copies

Horizon's slick, polished big rock sound won Steve the 1996 FNB Music Award for Best Rock Act, and songs like "One Cut With a Knife", "Kathleen" and "Strange Room" are still cruising the airwaves.
